deegee stand at EuroLED 2007

Over 60% of deegee products are now either LED based or available as an LED option. It is a sector which is growing at around 40% per year.

To this end deegee were pleased to exhibit the beacon and sounder range at EuroLED 2007, at the Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham. EuroLED is a showcase of all things LED, mainly technological aspects, but it was of immense interest to the organisers to have users of LED technology exhibiting.

It was a great opportunity for deegee to demonstrate their extensive range of LED based beacons, reinforcing deegee’s place at the forefront of LED technology.

deegee beacon doctors the tardis

It is really difficult getting pictures of products in action – catalogue shots are so bland.  Well, in an attempt to re-dress the balance we have a section on our website displaying a number of our products in action – hopefully with more to come – see here for details.

Even the pictures on our main website are a bit, well…., flat!  So to inject a bit of frivolity into the proceedings I have tracked down a KLF video “Doctorin’ the Tardis” from 1988 on video.google.com and include it here as the car “23” has one of our E Series beacons on its roof!

So without further ado I present to you the KLF…

International Fire Expo – Open for business

The doors are open on this year’s International Fire Expo.

deegee Stand at International Fire Expo 2007

It seems an absolute age since the last International Fire Expo – 2 years in fact! – but the wait is now over, the products are ready, the stand is built and we’re ready for our first visitors of the week.

The show runs until 4:00pm on Thursday 24th May 2007 and you’ll find us on stand G1 in Hall 8 at the NEC, Birmingham, UK.  Do drop by to the deegee stand for a chat with Lisa, Nikki or Wendy to discuss with them our latest innovations in audible and visual signalling technology.

Did You Know

………Every time you receive beacons and sounders from deegee you help the environment?

That’s right!  And it’s all because as a fundamental part of deegee‘s environmental policy, all packaging from goods coming into the company is saved and is re-used as secondary packaging by deegee.  In addition all primary cardboard packaging is manufactured from recycled cardboard, and we leave it brown so our supplier doesn’t need to add any more chemicals on our behalf.

So before you throw the box away, think if you too can re-use it as a first resort before re-cycling.

3-Colour LED Beacon

Causing a huge amount of interest at Hannover Messe 2007 was the new 3-colour LED Beacon (SBU/UNI-LED/Red/Amber/Green) from deegee.

SBU 3-Colour LED Unidirectional Beacon

Using sets of LEDs which allow Red, Amber or Green signals from the same unit, the beacon is perfect where space is at a premium.  Ideally suited to the R and the U housing from the deegee range,  the low profile of the unit and directional focus of the light is well-suited to traffic management, automatic car-washes, roller shutter doors, car-park barrier systems, and more. The U housing is the now familiar and extremely popular traffic light product from deegee.  Made from heavy duty UV-stabilised black polycarbonate, and fitted with a hood,  the SBU/UNI-LED/Red/Amber/Green features a Fresnel lens which focuses the light, giving long-range visibility.  Rated to IEC Protection Class IP65, SBU/UNI-LED/Red/Amber/Green is supplied with all the relevant fixings, allowing use singly or in groups of 2 or more beacons and sounders.  SBU/UNI-LED/Red/Amber/Green is available in DC 24V and AC 115 – 230V.

The 3-Colour LED Beacon is also available in the R Housing as a DC 24V unit.  Designated SBR/UNI-LED/Red/Amber/Green, the R Housing is only 92mm tall, the low profile being extremely popular where space is limited.  Combining the 3 colours into one unit perfectly fits the brief for minimal foot-print.
