Our modular stacking beacons are available in a range of colours, voltages and lamp types. Each stack requires a BCSA Base and Top Cap module and can then be personalised with up to six other modules. These include multifunction LED modules, flashing or static filament lamp modules, xenon strobe modules, and an electronic sounder module.
All modules are IP65 excluding the electronic sounder which is IP54. All modules click together to allow for easy instalment, as well as rearrangement after installation. Installation accessories are also available including a pole mount in various sizes or a right angled wall mounting bracket. For more information, please contact the sales team.
Telephone ring initiated beacons are designed for industrial and community welfare applications, where a visual indication of a ringing telephone is required.
Applications also include ‘Emergency Evacuation’ alarm, ‘Colour-Coded Personal Telephone’ indication for use in factories, as well as in several industrial or commercial applications where high ambient noise levels persist.
Our Xenon Strobe beacons (pictured) repetitively trigger in time with ring signal, and are designed for connection to a 230Vac power supply.
This LED beacon (below right) is ultra-low current and is driven entirely from incoming ring signal, eliminating the need for an external power source. This model pulses in time with ring signal.
All are available in Red, Amber, Green, Blue and Clear.
We have been very busy recently retesting our products and updating our datasheets and wiring instructions. Quite a lot of these are already available in the new format and can be found on the website or PDF’s can be requested from the Sales Team.
We have moved away from the printed catalogue format as we are constantly improving and developing our products, causing the printed catalogues to become out dated quickly. A range overview of our products can still be requested from the Sales Team for a collection of our products, however technical data is best requested as required to ensure that it is fully up to date. Our wiring instructions are also being updated, with your commonly asked questions in mind, to ensure they are as helpful and as easy to follow as possible.
If you still can’t find the information you require, please contact our Sales Team on 01283 550850, or email mail@beaconlamps.com, and we will be happy to assist you further.
We are pleased to announce that, as part of a team re-structure, Elliot Rose, who joined us in 2010 as a member of our manufacturing team, has expanded his role and will be taking on additional duties.
Since joining the company, Elliot has proved himself to be an enthusiastic and valued member of the team, and has also recently taken on the responsibility of data testing and building of prototypes, as he has shown that this is well within his capabilities. In addition, Elliot will also now be covering the Packing & Despatch area, ensuring all orders are despatched efficiently and promptly. Elliot said of the re-structure “It’s an exciting new time for the company, and it feels great to know I have the support of the Directors, that they’ve placed their confidence in me. It’ll be a challenge juggling the new responsibilities with the old ones, but it’s a challenge I’m looking forward to!”.
One of the joys of having a small, yet flexible team, is that it allows us to focus on strengths and capabilities of individuals, enabling us to match their skills and expertise as they grow with us, to the business needs.
A big well done to Elliot, and to a great team!
Although the ICAO Regulations deal predominantly with ‘fixed’ obstacles, there is currently an influx of high rise construction work that is calling for the marking of temporary or semi-permanent cranes.
When this high rise construction work is within inner-cities, close to airports or helicopter landing sites, it is imperative to consider marking your obstruction with the appropriate warning lights. This applies to any structure that exceeds 200 feet above ground level, whether it is a solid structure such as a chimney or building, or a non-permanent structure such as a tower or crane.
Deegee offer several options that are efficient and safe, low maintenance and meet ICAO Annex 14 requirements for Low Intensity Obstruction Warning, in both Low-intensity Type A with a minimum intensity of 10Cd, and Low-intensity Type B with a minimum intensity of 32Cd.
